Peter Lawrence Strauss, a television and movie actor, known for his roles in several television miniseries in the 1970s and 1980s, was born Feb. 20, 1947, in Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y. Notably, he played Abel Roznovski in "Kane and Abel," the television miniseries from Jeffrey Archer's book of the same title.
