Lockdown At Hendrick Hudson HS Tops Cortlandt News Last Week

Here are some of the stories that topped the news in Cortlandt, Buchanan and Croton-on-Hudson last week: A lockdown was lifted at Hendrick Hudson High School and Frank G. Lindsey Elementary School Tuesday about 3:15 p.m. The lockdown was put in place after threatening phone call and an incident of vandalism, Superintendent Joseph Hochreiter said in a posting on the school's Facebook page. Viorel Chirila, 64, a Croton-on-Hudson resident was charged Monday night, Oct. 27, with driving while intoxicated, New York State Police said.
