N.Y. mom pleads guilty in OD death of daughter, 6

A former nurse has pleaded guilty to charges she caused her 6-year-old daughter's death from a drug overdose last Easter Sunday. Westchester County District Attorney Janet DiFiore says Kathleen Dymes of Croton-on-Hudson, New York pleaded guilty Tuesday to criminally negligent homicide, misdemeanor child endangerment and possession of a controlled substance.

Mother Of Croton Child, 6, Who Died Upgraded To Serious Condition

The mother of 6-year-old Lacey Carr, who was found unconscious along with her daughter in their Croton=On-Hudson home, has been upgraded to serious condition at Phelps Memorial Hospital Center in Sleepy Hollow. Both were taken to Phelps where Lacey was pronounced dead.

Lacey is survived by her father, David J. Carr; her mother, Kathleen Dymes; her brothers, David A. Carr, Daniel J. Miller and Benjamin D. Miller; her grandfather Kevin Dymes; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visiting hours will be Thursday, April 9, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson.
