Siegfried Mader, who emigrated from Germany for a 32-year career as a research physicist at IBM and lived for five decades in Croton-on-Hudson, has died. He was 85. He passed away peacefully in his sleep last Wednesday morning under the care of his wife, Gillian, and a hospice program, after suffering from kidney ailments and a several-year progression of Alzheimer's disease.
