He is survived by son Ralph and his wife Laurie of Sudbury, Mass., daughter Christa L. Ronci of Croton-on-Hudson; five grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and sisters Madeline Meier and Katherine LeFevre. Meier was predeceased by his wife, Gisela, son-in-law Frank W. Ronci, sister Elizabeth Franklin and brothers Adolf Jr., William and Charles Meier.
