The youngest incoming students at Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School, in Croton-on-Hudson, had an exciting day of introductions, new friendships and other firsts as they walked into their classrooms for the first time on Sept. 1. The day began with students, along with their parents, meeting their classroom teachers and getting to know the room where they will spend time learning through June.
