First-graders at Carrie E. Tompkins Elementary School in Croton-On-Hudson recently took trips to Croton Point Park, where they tackled the school's mission to be stewards of the Hudson River. "Our first-graders had the opportunity to seine the river, observe the tide and take the water temperature," said teacher Patricia Lynch.
